I need some advise on the what type of putter should I buy. Additional advise on the brand would also be great?

I am 30 years old, 6ft tall with a athletic build and play with a handicap of 24.I need some advise on the what type of putter should I buy. Additional advise on the brand would also be great?
the only thing anyone over the internet could probably tell you would be to get a putter that is longer than standard, but even that depends on how hunched over you are when you put

my advice is to go to a local golf retailer and try out different retailers

you need to check for

-lie angle-the angle of your putterhead in relation to your shaft, this is dependent on how close to perpendicular to the ground you hold your putter when you swing

-shaft length-length of the shaft...lol

this is dependent on how far from the ground your hands are when you put, even if your tall, you might bend a lot when you put, and not require a long putter, or you might be someone who stands almost straight up when they putt, it depends on you

-mallet or blade putter head shape

i personally dont like my clubs looking like they are a space ship, but a some people can line up the ball to their intended line of putt better if they have a mallet putter (those putters that have white circles behind the putter face)

as for brand, that depends on your price range and whatever you find at the store that meets the above criteriaI need some advise on the what type of putter should I buy. Additional advise on the brand would also be great?
Quite honestly it comes down to two categories. First off, you have to be comfortable with the putter you use. Secondly, it depends on the price you're willing to spend. I play with an Odssey White Hot #1 putter, and I like it very much. That's also in a pretty good price range, especially for its quality. Because there are a large number of great putters out there, the best choice would be narrowing down the price range. If you want to spend a crapload of money, then Scotty Cameron is definitely the best out there. I got my putter for Christmas two years ago and I knew my dad was not willing to spend that much money on a putter, but it really depends. There are really so many different ways to go. If you like a certain company such as Nike (actually never mind because Nike does not make great putters), but one such as Mizuno, Bettinardi is their putter and very good quality, but I can stress enough it comes down to feel and price range. The best thing to do is maybe get your price range down and then pick a few companies you like and then start testing them out
In my opinion this question cannot just be answered. I offer the opinion that you head to a Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, or a Golfsmith store and test out different kinds of putters. I am now playing with an Odyssey Saber Tooth and love it. But I had to hit it to see how it would feel and if I liked it. I say you can't go wrong with an Odyssey. You may find that you like a heavier putter or a lighter one, a taller one or that you get more control with a belly putter. I think that your best option is to try out the different ones because only you can decide what your comfort level is and your price range.
Me personally a RIFE any kind they are nice looking and feel awesome or if you can afford a scotty cameron they are wonderful either a newport 1, 1.5, or 2 ($300). Heavy putter makes nic putter but some can be too heavy. Then there are Odyssey which have nice feeling putters for a good price an kind either blade or mallet. i would get them all in 35in also since your 6 foot
I know Titleist Scotty Cameron Detour New Port 2 Putter is good. There are many buyers purchase. You can have a try.and the price is low and guarranteed quality

Would it be weird to contact my mothers old boss for career advise?

When I was a child my mum worked as a courier for a florist for about 8 years.

I am considering a career change %26amp; looking into becoming a florist, would it be really weird of my to contact my mum's old boss from the florist shop? I would really like the career advise from someone who owns their own florist.

I'm sure she will remember us because they were quite good friends for many years.Would it be weird to contact my mothers old boss for career advise?
Of course it would be OK to contact her. I'm sure she'll be flattered that you went to her for career advice. It's best to get first-hand advice from someone who's in the field you want to get into.Would it be weird to contact my mothers old boss for career advise?
It's not weird. It's only weird if you make it weird. Just be polite and friendly, and I'm sure she'll be glad to talk to you.
Not weird at all. In fact, I think it's smart for you to do it, and I think your Mum's old boss would be flattered.

Can Hartlepool Borough Council advise it's employees that they must not speak to a suspended employee?

Hartlepool Borough Council have suspended one of it's employees. They have advised all other employees that they must not speak to this person otherwise they would face serious consequences. Is this legally right and is this an infringement on their human rights? Can Hartlepool Borough Council advise it's employees that they must not speak to a suspended employee?
Freedom of speech a fundamental of UK Law. That includes who you speak too as well as the subject matter.

The Council are wrong. such action would be against the 1998 European Law on Human rights. The the case ever got to court in Strasbourg the fines are unlimited.

What would these people advise to do if a 5 mile wide asteroid was hurtling towards earth?

...and expected to slam into earth at the rate of 5,000 miles a second in about 6 months?

What would Bush advise? What would TV preacher John Hagee advise? What would Pat Robertson say? What would these people advise to do if a 5 mile wide asteroid was hurtling towards earth?
Bush would blow it up

John would pray it away

Pat would talk it down slowlyWhat would these people advise to do if a 5 mile wide asteroid was hurtling towards earth?
Pray for their god to save us, guess what? We would be doomed. As for me, I'm eating beef, it's what's for dinner.
Bush would build a bomb shelter 10 miles under the earths surface, have it stocked with a lifetime supply of every luxury he could everwant. Seal himself up, and thenlet the American public know. Pat Robertson, would say it is God punishing the Earth for not voting for his presidential campaighn, then ask W if he has any room in his bomb shelter.
he would advise everyone to evacuate
Don't ask , don't tell...an asteroid of that size would be the end of all life on earth, and its doubtful we could do anything to defend the world against it.
Bend over and Kiss your A... good bye.
quit dreaming, we the people would never be told if something like that was coming.
Duck......Tuck......... and Cover
None would provide any helpful information.

It would take Bush almost six months to understand the problem, and another six months to react to it.

And his advisors would calculate where the asteroid would strike the earth and make sure Bush was visiting that spot at the time.

Don't know John Hagee, but if he's a typical TV preacher, he would create a telethon to raise money for the victims of the asteroid strike, with all checks payable to his personal account.

Pat Robertson would spend the next six months boasting that he knew this was going to happen because God emailed him about it. And he would be very disappointed if it didn't really happen.
Bush would spend the time claiming that the existance of the asteroid was ';just a theory.'; The two religious fanatics would claim it was divine judgement against whatever victim they were busy smearing at the moment.
They would advise to pray that means you're pretty much on your own. An asteroid this size hit the earth will not make a different where you go. As the asteroid initially struck the earth, the earth will all engulf in flame, burn everyone and everythng, after that there will be a nuclear winter last for years. I don't think anyone will survive unless they have an underground bunker with enough food and water last for 20 years.
They would say that the Great Journey has come to take us to Glorious Salvation.

Muslims: How would you advise another Muslim who fornicates and is not able to stop?

Because of the environment she lives in, there is no one to encourage her to righteous deeds or to remind her when falls into wrong. The person does understand it is wrong repents yet falls back into the trap.Muslims: How would you advise another Muslim who fornicates and is not able to stop?
give them the hereafter series by imam anwar awlaki.

and then just let go and make du'aa. you can only do this much. Guidance is only in Allah's hands.Muslims: How would you advise another Muslim who fornicates and is not able to stop?
Just tell them the punishment for forincation and tell them that they can only marry a Muslim man or Muslim woman who is also a fornicator. the punishment for fornication is to be whipped 100 times in public in front of a group of Muslim witnesses and banished from the scene of the crime for 1 year.
Try and help her to get married and reminder her of the punishment for fornication in the Qabr and in the hereafter. Show her a Islamic DVD on life after death or borrow her a book on this and don't forget to remind her that Allah's doors of forgiveness and mercy are always open to her until she approaches death
    Salam

As a Muslim it is our duty to convey the message of islam.Therefor just warn him/her about the punishments and the verses that Allah has mentioned in Quran. Now it is up to her whether she believes or not.You have done your job and InshaAllah you will not held responsible for him/her.
fornicate meaning having sex with others and or before marriage?

That would take many hours of watching that person and talking to them and also reconstruct their social and private life. That would have to take someone that they really trust.
She should have the understanding of modesty and shame. The islamic stand on modesty.

You mentioned there is no one to encourage her to reighteous deeds.

If you allow then tell her to email me - adeebshums786@yahoo.com
That's life. Some people are able to learn from other people's mistakes...and some people have to learn by making their own.

Just be a shoulder to cry on when she needs it...and don't feel like you have to support her unhealthy habits.
Maybe if you talk to her on a daily basis. That way she has the notion to refrain fresh in her mind daily. After time, it will become her nature. People adapt, you know.

I am going to buy a house on a main road where is really busy all the time, please advise me disadvantages?

I recently found out that on a busy street that is heavily traveled you contend with getting lead dust in your home from car and truck exhaust. So, I suggest you invest in two air purifiers with carbon filters. Place one in your living and dining room area, and one near your bedrooms. Although we breave in toxins everyday, you don't need an abundance. This is the only disadvantage that I see.

The advantage of a heavily traveled street is the constant visiblity which reduces car thefts, and someone breaking into your home. If it is not well lit, install motion detector lights where needed.

With the heavy traffic someone is bound to see something, and the thief knows this and does not want to be seen either.I am going to buy a house on a main road where is really busy all the time, please advise me disadvantages?
    One more thing to consider...

Over the past several years, lenders were not differentiating between homes located on busy streets and those not. So comparable properties used to establish value for homes on busy streets could be - and often were - from quieter parts of a neighborhood.

So what happened? Investors purchased homes in the less desirable area - on the busy street - and pulled equity out by getting appraisals comparing those homes to the quieter part of the neighborhood. But common sense tells you people pay more to live on an inner street. As the market slowed, those over-valued, over-leveraged homes flooded into foreclosure at a faster rate than homes located on quieter streets. (Drive through any neighborhood and you'll see empty houses not being cared for are almost always on the busier streets in the neighborhood. Not always, but more often than not.)

Lenders have corrected the practice that allowed this to happen. Appraisers must now select comparable properties that are on busy streets to establish value of homes on busy streets. It's not only harder to get loans, but you'll find the values are falling faster on these homes than on others.

Unless you're getting the bargain to end all bargains, stay away from the uncertain value of a home located on a busy street until home values fall back to earth.I am going to buy a house on a main road where is really busy all the time, please advise me disadvantages?
All of the above, plus resale could be bad. Walk away, IMO.
You can mitigate the noise with sound resistant windows. One advantage is crime is usually lower on a well-lit road. The real disadvantage is the danger to kids and pets.

I grew up on a very busy street in Chicago, and I made it! :D
Your prop value may be 10-25% less than other comparable homes on a non busy street.
You already said it...busy all the time. Will you be able to back out of your driveway to go to work? Were you planning to let the kids or the dog outside? And noise.
    obviously street noise

backing out of your driveway can be tricky

police and ambulance sirens at all times of the day and night

not being able to let your kids out to ride bikes on sidewalks
Enjoy the constant sound of traffic and the inevitable sirens from fire trucks and cop cars and ambulances--not to mention the car crashes you can hear.

You will also need to be able to get in and out of your driveway--a circular one would help.

Got kids? Better have a fenced back yard and tell them they can ONLY go there, not in the front unless you are out there with them. Ditto any pets.

If they decide to expand lanes, you could have even less setback.

Probably more, but already I'm not interested.

I have a group job interview at aeropostale and I need advise on how to prepare?

I am new to fashion and clothing stores and any advise on how to impress the manager and what I need to know would be very helpful. Thanks!I have a group job interview at aeropostale and I need advise on how to prepare?
Well, since it's a group interview, you want to stand out from the crowd. Make sure you are dressed nicely, but also fashionably (since this is a clothing store). Your hair should be clean and kept in a nice style, nothing ';too much'; or over the top, just conservative. No strong cologne or anything like that, just something subtle. Make sure you are talkative, approachable, and likeable. Have a good attitude and always be polite to the employer. Have a good/interesting reason for wanting to work there, they always seem to ask that.

    Good luck. :)

What books would you advise me to read?

I have a whole month off and i have absolutely nothing to do as I saved my whole salary.

I love fiction and get bored with a book that can't keep me hooked from page 1.

I hate this horor and thriller stuff. And im not a fan of reading the harry potter books. What books would you advise me to read?
';Tuesdays with Morrie'; by Mitch Albom

..or anything by Anne RiceWhat books would you advise me to read?
well i would suggest books that E.d Baker wrote

My favorite book is The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. He also wrote The Three Musketeers. The language can be tedious, but both are excellant books. The first will hook you moreso than the latter.

I also like any of the Poirot mysteries by Agatha Christie, and only a few of her Miss Marple ones, but again, good reading.

I also enjoy fantasy books, such as those by Robert Jordan and David and Leigh Eddings. These authors wrote series, so you have something like eleven good-sized books from Jordan and ten to thirteen smallish from the Eddings, if you include the two books that sum things up.

I am currently re-reading Lord of the Rings again.
This series is very good Left Behind by Tim Lehaye and Jerry Jenkins.
two words Slaughter-House Five by Kurt Vonnegut. i think its three words im not sure but that was something else. my fav. book of all time. the world according to garp was probably my second. good luck on your book hunting. and there are plenty good books... Clockwork Orange, and anything by Kurt Vonnegut. RIP
Barbara Erskine , if you are interested in historical novels with a twist, I found most of her books great. Even considering writing my own if you may want to read it some day!

Also I find any self help books that may improve the way your brain works....like Cosmic Ordering. We all are pretty individual when it comes to books, so why not go to the library and see what attracts you. You may be drawn to a book/books that you were meant to read.

Good luck and enjoy your time off from the daily grind.
great list at new free books.
My favorite books are The Swiss Family Robinson and Island of the Blue Dolphins. Both are pretty much about the same thing, being stranded on a deserted island, but the first is about a shipwrecked family, and the second is about a girl whose entire tribe leaves and doesn't know she isn't with them. They are really alot better than they sound, I promise!
Any of the Fizz and Buchanan series - start one and you'll read all nine, I will personally guarantee it. Absolutely gripping from the first word to the last, packed with great characters particularly Fizz and Buchanan who are totally adorable. I promise you - you'll bless this day!
    1. shadow of the wind

    2. kite runner

    3. snow flower and secret fan

    4. eleven minutes

    5. veronica decides to die

    6. the last Templar

    7. mysery
try earth inspector series. old skool. waaaaay fiction and educational too. loved it when i was a kid.
Pamela by Samuel Richardson. An old book , first published in 1741.It will keep you hooked from page 1 and leave you with a sigh.

Read it and you will recommend it to all people you know.
I suggest you read Jostein Gaarder book such as Sophie's World or The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho if you into philosophy. Do you like historical fiction? if you like it, you could read some of Orhan Pamuk (nobel prize winner 2006) book such as My name is Red or The White Castle. The Historian from Elizabeth Koztova also worth reading. it's about Vlad Tepes the Dracula.

Agatha Christie's book are also what I recommended. she wrote a ton of great book, especially with Poirot. choose The Big Four, And Then There Were None, Sad Cypress, or Mystery of Sytles. You can also read Curtain, but please after you read another Poirot story...
';The Master and Margarita'; by Mikhail Bulgakov. It will change your life.
';One Hundred Years Of Solitude'; or ';Love In The Time Of Cholera'; by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. He is amazing.
    I think the Joseph Campbell books are a good starting point since they highlight universal themes. I would start with ';the power of Myth';

    I also like ';Zorba the Greek';

if you like Philosophy I would read ';ecce homo'; Nietzsche, or a general college text on Morality which would introduce you to many different thinkers and many theories.

My favorite non-fiction books- modern wise -come mostly from Crichton and Grisham. I think I read 12 of Grisham's books in Iraq in between missions. I enjoy the characters.

Lucky you... you've the time to sit back and enjoy your reading.

If I was even close to your liking with books, email or IM though my profile and I can suggest more. I LOVE books.

What's the best advise for a beginner on a street/sport bike?

I am going to get a Ninja 250R and I want to hear what are some good things to follow when riding a bike for the first time. I will be riding mostly on freeways and highways. So any feedback is appreciated! I will also be checking this book out: The Complete Idiot鈥檚 Guide to Motorcycles, 3rd editionWhat's the best advise for a beginner on a street/sport bike?
    1. Always wear gear.

    2. Make sure you warm up your bike before you start riding, I also have a 2008 250r. If you don't warm it up it will die once you give it some throttle so its not really advice but whatever.

    3. Don't try to split lanes so early, if theres an open space its guaranteed an idiot driver will ram into it without giving signal.

    4. I would say replace the exhaust, the stock one is too quiet and people will not hear you coming.

    5. Be aware of your surroundings and be alert for all the soccer moms in huge suvs / old people / my mom / etc.

    6. Keep a large space between you and the car in front of you so you have enough space to brake hard, swerve or just stop at a red light. This space should be large enough for 1.5 - 2 cars to fit at least, so expect idiots to invade your cushion without warning.

    7. Freeway riding is relativity easy because you just hold the throttle, City driving is much harder because of the traffic and stopping and pedestrians, etc. (especially in LA)

    8. Btw, the 250r has a 1000 mile break in period so you shouldn't ride on the freeway before then...

    9. Always signal and make sure to turn off your signal. Most bikes will not turn off the indicator by themselves so if you keep your light on other people will think you are about to turn and merge into your lane.

10 I would stay away from group rides consisting of more than 2 riders, especially if they are more experienced and will go faster than you are willing to / have the ability to go.What's the best advise for a beginner on a street/sport bike?
Also read ';Proficient Motorcycling';, by David Hough. Once you have taken your riding course, obtained your license, and ridden enough to start to feel comfortable on the bike, watch out. That is a point at which many riders have accidents. They start to feel like they are getting it, and their guard drops.

Get in the habit of constant alertness, scanning your mirrors and watching traffic half a mile ahead. Don't follow anything you can't see through, and ride for open space, trying to avoid riding beside other drivers, instead keeping the spaces clear on either side.
    hi

from my experience, i practiced on very quiet roads where i know not many cars come through to start with, when i feel more confident, i starting to go little bit more busy roads.

then once my confident grows, i starting to go on freeways/highways.

make sure that you are prepared, take mobile with you and phone number for nearest garage services, just in case 250r breaks down and get know the area or take a map so they able to come to you easier and quicker.
That 250 is a great little bike, good choice. I used to call it a sheep in wolf's clothing til I took a closer look. It will pretty much destroy an 883 sportster and get 70mpg doing it.

The main thing is do alot of riding and get some muscle memory so that your reactions become automatic. But the best advice is to ride like the whole world is out to get you. I rarely ride in traffic and not have several instances of a car doing something stupid that requires a defensive action from me. So common I don't even call them close calls any more.
    Learn to spot potential dangers

Someone sitting in a car parked beside the road, expect them to just pull out in front of you.

Kids playing next to the road, expect one of them to run out blindly.

MAKE YOURSELF SEEN! Never assume that drivers can see you.

There are lots of other things to watch for but just think ahead and you should be ok.
The highways not a great place to start riding. Practice like crazy. You always need to watch out what's going on around you, people in cars aren't looking out for motorcycles. Always pay attention.
250r is not really a sport bike, more like a moped lol
dress warm and go slow around corners.if you are too fast for an on/off ramp go to the next one.
Don't crash on the highways. Or at all. That's the best advice there is!

What professions would you advise for a Tauren Druid in WoW?

Hi, I used to play the burning crusade, just got to 70 - but then, foolishly I bought gold and was banned.

Consequently, I have made a new account, learnt from my misjudgements and mistakes. I'm curious as to how WoW is ever evolving.

Is Herbalism/Alchemy still a useful profession when one reaches the depths of leveling? What professions would you advise for a Tauren Druid in WoW?
Tauren's got the racial for herbing, meaning sure you can level it faster.

Herbing goes with alch, and inscripting mainly now (inscript only for wrath)

Herb / Alch i lvled with my priest, and it was a pretty good combo, till end game, alch (not herbing) makes almost nothing (even as mute master making epic gems, i only really can make 110g a day from 1 gem (rarely do i ever get a 2 proc from mute master). Flasks take 1 frost lotus which you might only find 2-5 a day given you're lucky, the flasks go for 25g a pop, while 1 lotus goes for (my server) 60g a pop, sucks huh? Alch endgame won't really give you any money, but the new RENEWABLE flask that gives nice nice stats and lasts an hour is a nice perk too.

Professions also can heavily rely on what class you are too.

I wouldn't say just cause u have the racial get the profession, but it's not bad to take advantage of them either. What professions would you advise for a Tauren Druid in WoW?
All of the crafting professions offer some unique benefit late in the game. Herbalism/Alchemy is a fine choice imo.

Blacksmithing allows you to get two additional prismatic sockets for your gear.

Leatherworking gives you ';fur lining'; which is a powerful enchantment only leatherworkers get.

Tailoring has a couple of flying mounts and offer cloak embroidery (tailor only) and spellthread for pants.

Alchemy has unique alchemist only potions and can be a pretty good money maker.

Enchanting allows you to enchant your rings and is also a great money maker despite how expensive it can be to level.

Jewelcrafters get jewelcrafter only gems which they are allowed to use three of. Jewelcrafting can be a decent money maker if you have the right cuts and easy access to gems.

Inscriptions grants inscriptionist only shoulder enchants which again are quite powerful. It's not a cash cow but it can make steady income.

All of the gathering professions are clearly useful but these days they also grant a skill. Skinning grants critical strike rating, mining gives stamina, and herbalism gives you a instant cast HoT which can be done while stealthed or shifted.

Personally I feel that there's no 'wrong' choice for your professions since they all have substantial benefits. When theorycrafted most classes and specs will find that the actual benefit of any given profession to their class is generally nearly equal with small variations here and there.

Engineering is till mostly PvP utility and convenience though.
Herbalism Is a must really, I had leatherworking on it at skill level 450 but there is no money to be made with it anymore. Herbalism is good especially in later levels since you wont need to dismount from birdform to gather it. i would agree with enchanting, its pretty easy to level aswell. some herbs in lvl 50 areas go for 1gold a piece.

Alchemy has become profitable again now that you can transmute epic gems for the price of an eternal and a superior gem.
It's useful but depends on what you want some professions help you level or earn you gold. What i recommend for a Tauren Druid is that you be a Enchanter you make tons of gold and is hugely helpful with raising your stats on your gear. Then maybe you could take alchemy or herbalism with that. Just make sure you become an Enchaner or you won't regret it.
I have been a Tauren Druid since release and have always been herb/enchant. Good money.

When did your doctor advise you about your twin pregnancy?

I am 7 weeks pregnant with twins. I have had two ultrasounds and scheduled for a third one next week. Other than telling me what is going on in the ultrasound, my ob/gyn has not discussed or advised me on nutrition, care, risks and what to avoid during pregnancy. Is that normal? Did your doctor talk to you about all this in the first appointment or did he wait until he was satisfied with the progress of the developing fetus? Thanks! When did your doctor advise you about your twin pregnancy?
I am 23 weeks with twins, I found out on my first appointment with my obstetrician at 10 weeks and she didn't really talk to me about nutrition etc. She just told me that I definitely needed to be on a pregnancy multivitamin to ensure I get enough of vitamins and minerals for the bubs.

Other than that, she didn't seem to think there was that much more of a risk with the pregnancy other than the early onset of labour which we talked about at the next visit.

    Congratulations by the way!!

well pioneer is alright but i swear by rockford fosgate kicker and hifonic (hifonics for their amps) but its up to your ear what you like you can always find cheaper stuff on ebay look around and be sure not to get cheap sh*t like pyramid or pyleI just want some advise of updating my speaker system in my car?
I agree with shad..... It is up to your ear. Everyone likes a differsnt sound.
my advise if you getting to amps make sure you get a kinetik battery to replace your factory battery becasue factory batteries aren't made to support all that power especially too amp i would say get a hc800 to replace the back cap and a hc 1400 for the factory battery for the amp make sure you get a amp that's double the power of your subs and remember you buy cheap soun's you go get cheap sounds i recommend rockford pumch series amp and some kickers
    Some things to know http://spkrbox1.spaces.live.com
Do some homework before you buy. Pioneer is not well known or liked for building quality amps. I'd advise Alpine or if you can spend a little more money, JL Audio has a really nice 6 channel amp out for 2008, and it's under $500.00 . Kicker or Jl are definate recommends, depending on the type of music you listen to. Kicker rocks for pounding, JL will give the nice clean tight bass for more contemporary tastes.
    I would get Bose
Instead of running multiple amps, you might consider one 5 channel hybrid amp. The Memphis ';Baby Belle'; is a nice amp, JL Audio's 500/5 is a good choice also. If you want, email me and I'll help you find some good equipment and hunt down an installer for you.
www.crutchfield.com is the best site out there for audio products. i highly recommend it.

What laptop would you advise, under four hundred pound, to run The Sims 3 at it's best?

I'm getting a laptop for my birthday and I would like some advise on what laptop to get that The Sims 3 would run without crashing or errors. Thanks. What laptop would you advise, under four hundred pound, to run The Sims 3 at it's best?

I could use some advise to help my children concentrate in class?

I have 3 school age children. A 4th Grader 1st, and Kindergarten. My older two have been bringing home notes saying that they are having difficulty concetrating in class. The 1st grader is all ready repeating the first grade and I don't want to see her fail again. She is the one that I worry about the most. She is very engergetic and loves to draw, according to her teacher she will draw every little detail of what she is drawing but when it comes to getting her class work done on time she is not motivated, talks to other kids and doesn't stay focused on what she is supposed to be doing. I try to tell her every morning to remember to concetrate but she is still getting these notes. Also her reading and word comprehension is not where it should be, hence her repeating the 1st grade. Any advice would be appreciated. Also my 4th grader has been getting notes too not as many but some. I am a single parent and I work long hours, would that have something to do with it?I could use some advise to help my children concentrate in class?
    don't be hard on yourself...

first, request a meeting with the teachers- ask her to describe the distractibility, etc. Then schedule appointments with the pediatrician- have them evaluated medically (some of what you are describing COULD be ADHD...I don't like how quickly people jump to that, but you should definitely look into it)

Between the 2 you should find good resolutions for your children...stay in touch with the teachers and as silly as it sounds- really make sure the kids are eating right and getting a good amount of sleep (and trust me, I know ';quality time'; is hard to come by....develop a small routine with each child- 10 mins at bedtime- ';What was the best part or your day? worst part?'; and then share your answers too- this is something my son and I do every night)I could use some advise to help my children concentrate in class?
Maybe it is because your children are trying to act up to get attention. I have been having the same problem with my son, who is in 3rd grade. His father and I divorced 2 years ago and he is always moving, and has a new girlfriend every few months. When things are consistent, my son is fine, but I find that he gets distracted or irritated easily in class when something is going on. Try to talk to your children and spend as much time with them as possible. I know it is hard because you are soooo tireddd when you get home. Trust me I understand. Let them know that they are loved and you want them to do well in school. Start taking things away at home like t.v. or playing with friends until behavior improves. I asked the same question on here a while ago and someone suggested that to me and it has been working lately! Good luck.
Have them visually represent what they are learning. Visually represent stories, visually represent mathematical equations, etc.

They seem to be learning differently than the others.

Edit: oh, yeah, btw, I'm not a professional learning counselor/ advisor /whatever
I also, had a child that was not able to concentrate in class.

I decide to call the School and request that my child be tested to see if my child was being challenged enough in her class. I also, requested her to be tested for dyslexia. After the test the counselor realized that she was not being challenge , she was bored in class. she did not have dyslexia. Also, to help her concentrate during a test the Teacher would allow her to wear headphones. . I think that if there is a child that is having difficult in school concentrate this should be address to the child's family and have different test run for he/she so, this child gets help and not be consider a problem child. My child is happy now and so are her Teachers too. I hope this helps, good luck

Does anyone have a corporate email address for Verizon to advise of bad customer service?

It took 2 1/2 weeks to finally get my residential internet service hooked up. I called customer service repeatedly to report that the service had not been established. The representatives would ask if they could check into it and call me back. No one ever called back. Finally, after 2+ weeks, a tech was sent out. He's the only one who fulfilled his commitment.Does anyone have a corporate email address for Verizon to advise of bad customer service?

Can someone please advise on whether taking a plane or coach to KL is more convenient?

Comparing cost, time taken and ease :) Thanks! Can someone please advise on whether taking a plane or coach to KL is more convenient?
1 ) If you have too many luggage . Advice not to take coach ! you need to '';carry in and out '; during Woodland also JB check point !

2 ) If you luggage is less than 15 kg for check in. hand carry allow one bag , max 7 kg. size 56 x 36 x 23 cm . NOT EVEN 1 kg exit allowance ! ( exit luggage charge as S$ 20.oo per kg ). Badge Air is Cheap and FAST !

3 ) If you going to KL Town . sample luggage . consider Taxi fare from Singapore Town area to Changi airport + KLIA to KL Town.Check in/out + 45 min fly hours. total 3 + hours. and by coach to reach KL Town is about 6 hours. Coach is better. Can someone please advise on whether taking a plane or coach to KL is more convenient?
first of all can I know you from where? everybody knows by plane are more convenient.....

If you around Malaysia, this depending on you, if you go for business better for you to go by plane because you can be more relax while waiting the time for meeting. time is more concern in here but of course anything better the prices are totally different.

but if you go for vacation that's means not in hurry, so more relax and you can see around the journey is by coach.

All depending on your time and what purposed you come down to Kuala Lumpur.
If you compare cost, time and ease, they begin to somewhat cancel one another out as the journey takes longer and longer so that it does not matter, as far as ';convenience'; is concerned ....So, for a short journey, a coach may be more suitable(cheaper and faster), but for a long journey, a plane may be more suitable ...the price of a coach ride catches up to that of a plane ticket - i.e. about the same cost, but faster. [specially so now that your have cheap fares by Air Asia]

The point of departure can also influence your decision, asa well as the number of pople in your group and amount of luggage, but you have not mention it, so the above answer is ';general';.

    Edit : Spore %26lt;====%26gt; KL

    If on business- plane =fast

If on leisure - train = fun

If on frequent trip - coach= not in a hurry

';convenience'; does not come into the equation, as every method has its own hassle. You take what is most ';suitable'; for your purpose.
    Plane..

    You have alot of choices

    Airasia Changi airport-LCCT

    Firefly Budget terminal-Subang airport

    Jetstar/MH/SQ Changi airport-KLIA

Its more convenient as u can do internet checkin and be at the airport only 1.5hrs before departure and immigration here is a breeze.

Its super time saving cos only takes 55min to KL.

Ticket price ranges from $28.00 on a budget carrier to SGD291 on SQ/MH..

I'm hooked on taking flt because of convenience and time saving.

    Cheers

To KL from where if i may ask ?
may i know from KL to where ?
    from where?

Anybody have any advise for how to back a trailer into a driveway?

I know this sounds funny, but we had oh so much trouble doing this today. We just bought a 8*5 trailer. We have posts on either side of the driveway. Then there are support posts for carport. Then we have to back it into the garage, which only has about 12 inches of clearance on either side, so not a lot of margin for error. Anyone have any words of wisdom on how to do this??Anybody have any advise for how to back a trailer into a driveway?
As many people here have said, practice. Fellow bassboater Jesse's hint to hold the steering wheel at the bottom is the easiest way. Wit little clearance, a ground guide to yell STOP! is critical.

But to add something new here, you may want to look at the trailer dolly at the link below. It is an easy way to hand manuver the trailer into that hole.Anybody have any advise for how to back a trailer into a driveway?
Is it loaded? Can you put enough weight on the back to make it maneuverable by hand? If you can pick up the hitch and have someone else put blocks by the wheels to prevent it from rolling downhill whenever you make some progress... you might get it in there slowly... without any damage.

The only other suggestion I can think of... is to go into an empty parking lot with it and practice going around some cones.
    Uhhhh...very carefully? Sorry, I couldn't resist!!!
If you steer left, the trailer will go right, steer right, it will go left.

Once you enter the driveway, pull forward a bit until you can straighten the rig, then back straight in.

    Repeat as necessary.
practice, practice, practice. Use the side mirrors, go slow, hand on the bottom of the steering wheel, while looking in the mirror make your hand go in the direction you want the trailer to go.
yeah, don't let me do it!
turn the wheel the opposite way you want the trailer to go.
Practice , you will be surprised how quickly you will learn to back it up. Take your trailer to your local wal mart and set up some cones or buckets with mops or brooms or something you can see and just back it up a few times and you will learn. One thing I find the helps is backing so that you can you are turning towards the drivers side this way you can see the rear of the trailer as opposed to backing towards the passenger side where you can not see anything. The hardest trailer to back up are the small, short ones that you can not see the sides of in your mirrors.
Make your back wheels the front wheels of the trailer. Then use YOUR front wheels to move the back (trailer front) wheels where they need to be to point the trailer in the right direction.

Hint: Steer left to make the trailer go right and vice versa. Then follow the trailer as it backs in.
Before you back in, get the trailer and vehicle as straight as you can. As you're backing up go slowly and turn your steering wheel in the direction the trailer's wiggling to. Remember, the smaller the trailer, the harder it is to back in. Take your time and don't get frustrated if it takes a couple shots to get it in.
    The ';easiest way'; is this...

Place your hand on the ';BOTTOM'; of the steering wheel.

Now, what ever direction you want your trailer to ';go';, turn your hand ';that way';.

    It works every time!

    I wish you well..

    Jesse
Place your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel, this way you wont have to think through the opposite motion on the wheel needed to direct the trailer in the direction you want it to go. Use small movements to steer the trailer if it's straight backing. Go slow and watch how the trailer reacts to your steering. Practice makes perfect, so make your self a backing coarse to practice on, in a safe area away from any obstacles. I have taught many big rig drivers how to drive and my experience says there is no verbal method of teaching someone how to back, it just requires practice, patients and the few tips I gave you above. The rest is up to you.

    Good luck and happy trails.
If your using a truck or SUV go to u-haul and have them install a hitch on the front of the vehicle makes its easier for the novice..
First you need to get as much room to work as you can, between the trailer and your driveway. Get the trailer as straight as possible then keep it going slow and steady. turn the wheel in the opposite direction you need the trailer to go. And lastly take your time and don't get discouraged.

I am just starting a cleaning service any tips or advise?

Also, I find that after cleaning one home my back hurts and I don't have the energy to work further, my rate is $85 and it takes me about 3-4 hours to clean. I think this is far but I need to clean at least two homes a day to make a living, what should I do?I am just starting a cleaning service any tips or advise?
Congratulations on your new business! I have 2 suggestions:

    1. Think Big! Don't be afraid to hire employees. One employee will cost you about a third of your income but will save you and your back from half the work. The paper work can be a little intimidating but your accountant can show you the steps.

    2. Set some goals for what you want your business to be like in 1 year and 5 years from now. If you grow your business, and your should be able to, the insignificant decisions you make now can bite you in the butt down the road when you have 15 employees.

    Two more bonus suggestions!

Read books on operating a cleaning service and on small business. A good one is The E-myth Revisited by M Gerber.

Buy your supplies at a janitorial supply company. It's a little more expensive but... they will be a great resource for problem solving. Also, I'll bet that three times a week someone asks them for a referral. If they have a relationship with you and know that you are conscientious they will send those people to you!

Hope this gives you some ideas. Good luck!I am just starting a cleaning service any tips or advise?
    You need a license...

Always put things in a contract or you'll be upset the first time a client stiffs you on a payment. It happened to me and I only had his word. He stiffed me for exactly half of what he owed me. I had no contract ......

    Don't hire family.....

Get insurance for accidents and bad employees.

Always go that extra mile for your clients and they'll love you for it and they'll want to keep you around for a long time.
i started a cleaning service about 7 months ago and it is doing well i work by myself i started out cleaning about 3 homes a week now i have 7 that clean a week eat a good breakfast every morning and carry some fruit or water or gatorade with u daily cause all of the mopping and vacumming is a bit much and oreck is the best vacuum of them all also target is good for supplies u get more for your money good luck and try to minimize your time start upstairs 1st do baths, dusting, sheets, vac.mop, get in a routine u will pick your pace up as time progress.dont under estimate 2 get business it will come pass out fliers on mailboxes get car magnetics

Can someone please advise me on what to do with mixed up wiring on ceiling light job?

I'm putting up a new light fixture, but I've got three black wires and the red band has fallen off the live wire. How can I tell which one is the live wire now?Can someone please advise me on what to do with mixed up wiring on ceiling light job?
Firstly i assume you are in the UK.

You will need a continuity tester, and make sure the power is off.

Connect the tester between a red and black from the same cable you should get a beep (all the cables may do this do not panic). Now ask someone to turn the light switch off. do this for all cables the one that bleeps on and off is the cable you require.

Put some tape on it for future reference. Can someone please advise me on what to do with mixed up wiring on ceiling light job?
How gan you tell? With a tester. Don't be afraid of electricity, just respect it's space. More Info would have been helpful. Pictures would be great, however since we don't: the only wires that you really needed to be concerned with are the wires that went to the old fixture. The wires that are (were) tucked up into the box should have been left alone. Let me know if I can be anymore help. Good luck
Call a qualified professional electrician before you get hurt or cause a fire that may kill you or your family. They have the tools and the experience to do the work in a safe and competent manner. The fees are minimal compared to rebuilding your home or a funeral.
gee pick 1 turn on the power and try it...
    Use a mains tester.

Please can anyone advise me on how to fit a kick plate 'skirting board'?

I have the silver clips but just cannot see how they work. Any ideas will be very welcome. Please can anyone advise me on how to fit a kick plate 'skirting board'?
First you have to make sure the ';skirting board'; fits in the space between the bottom of the cabinet and the floor. The silver clips should be installed onto the back of the ';skirting board'; and should clip onto the ';legs'; of the cabinet. It may require a little bit of pressure but it should snap into place. Please can anyone advise me on how to fit a kick plate 'skirting board'?
Thanks Casper, I know that's how they usually work but these ones are different. I ended up going to the showroom that we bought the kitchen from and looked at how they put their ones on. They clip in at the top of the plinth and stick out backwards over the top. Wierd, hey?

Can an employer advise it's employees they must not speak to an employee who has been suspended?

Hartlepool Borough Council has advised it's employees that they must not speak to or have contact with an employee who has been suspended. They have advised thier employees that if they are found having contact or have spoken with the suspended employee it would lead to serious consequences. Is this legal to impose this? Can an employer advise it's employees they must not speak to an employee who has been suspended?
they can advise ...but that would be a good case of a employer using bullying tactics ..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can an employer advise it's employees they must not speak to an employee who has been suspended?
We have the right to speak freely outside of work. It sounds like someone is overstepping their authority.
I think they can advise you not to speak to them about the incident for which they were suspended. Can't see how they can stop you having contact with them though, I mean you could be related.
Only if you have signed a confedelety act, at your place of work
No that's a violation of your constitutional rights to freedom of speech and association. Report them to the state attorney general.
I dont think they can, what have they got to cover up?
no they cannot do that , when you are outside you can do what you wish
When an employee is suspended they are usually removed from the workplace and told not to enter until disciplinary procedure has taken place and the matter resolved. The only contact the employee should have is with their representative to discuss their situation not another employee. It could complicate an investigation if it is found that other employees are discussing it with the person who has been suspended, but I cannot see where they can stop you speaking to them as long as it is not about their situation
It would normally depend on what the person had been suspended for.
that's rediculous...what happens if you were friends with the susbended employee...it's human rights man...tell them to get lost and how will they no! i'd complain, they can advise it but not punish for you talkin to him/her!
YES. They can insist that during YOUR work hours that you not talk to them and that when you do talk on YOUR time that you do NOT discuss work.

    Hope this helps.
    its standard practise.

also the suspended person will be told not to speak to anyone
They are just trying to isolate that individual and threaten all of the rest of you. Only collective action can correct this illegal threat of the Borough Council. They would be crazy to fire all of you. Although of course that's what the US air controllers thought back in the 1980s, and Reagan fired all of them anyway.
    In work yes

When you go home no way Freedom of speech it is called

If anyone does and takes measures of punishment on you

Get your self a lawyer and sue the paints off that man and the company

Each law suit is to be handled separately
not really, although it does depend
They can only warn or advise those employees, if they had signed a non-disclosure confidentiality agreement prior to being employed by them. Anyone in doubt should contact their trade union representative, as they could be accused of intimidation towards their employees. They can however, politely ask all their employees not to deliberately approach this employee, as it might not be in either his/her interests or the Councils interests to do so, but having said that, if you were a friend or relative of this employee, there is nothing they can really do, except if as I already mentioned, you'd signed an agreement. I do hope this helps.
No they cannot dictate that you cannot speak with a person.

Although they can request that you do not speak with the person regarding the issue for which they have been suspended.

I need some advise for removing the sticky tabs from hanging stuff on the wall.?

Everything and I mean everything has fallen off the wall twice now. I hung those package mirrors on the wall and all that is left is a sticky mess from the tabs that will not come off. So without ruining the paint job too bad does anyone have any ideas for removing that stuff or had the same experience?I need some advise for removing the sticky tabs from hanging stuff on the wall.?
Rub the sticky spot with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser - they get sticky stuff off lots of stuff. They won't leave a greasy stain on the wall, either.I need some advise for removing the sticky tabs from hanging stuff on the wall.?
If this is the foam double sided sticky tape, I scrap off as much as I can with a razor blade, then use Goo Gone with a rag to remove the residue.

You really need to use mirror hangers and screws if there is no frame, or just screws through the mirror frame, to hang a mirror. Mirrors are to heavy for sticky tape.
Coat the sticky part, with baby oil or something similar (greasy) on the sticky part and let it sit. It should peel off. You may want to use a dull knife to scrape the rest off.
Using a hair dryer on medium setting will warm up the adhesive, thus making the sticky tabs peel off the wall, as if was never there.

YOU DO NOT NEED ANY DOWNLOADER. SOME PEOPLE ON YAHOO! ANSWERS

ARE REALLY DISGUISED SALESPEOPLE TRYING TO SUCKER YOU INTO BUYING

    THEIR BOGUS AND UNNECESSARY SOFTWARE.

If YouTube is slow, stuck or weird, and people suggest that

you either change or install stuff....DON'T TOUCH A THING.

Please don鈥檛 mess with java scripts, firewall settings, flash

players, anti-virus utilities, activeX controls, popup blockers

or different browsers. And definitely avoid any software that

some people on this page are trying to get you to buy.

None of those things will help you, because your computer

and YouTube were working perfectly fine at one point, right?

The first rule of thumb and best option should ALWAYS be:

don't disable, erase, uninstall, switch, download, alter, add,

change or install anything. That'll only make matters worse.

Every day, YouTube often shuts down many of their servers

to update stuff. Please be patient if YouTube is slow, stuck

or mangled. Transmissions from YouTube to your computer

are actually done in small chunks of ';Flash'; at a time. That

is why sometimes you may only get bits and pieces of text,

video, the spinning circle and/or a blank screen. Your issue

may fix itself within a few hours or by the next day.

If your YouTube continues to behave slow, stuck or strange,

it's very possible that your directories of ';temporary internet

files'; and memory (often times called ';cache';) are full to the

maximum and just can't take anymore, the end result being

that YouTube videos either A) start/stop/start/stop, B) grind

to a halt, or C) never even make it onto your screen.

';Temporary internet files'; are tiny bits of webpages that get

permanently put on your computer. They will remain forever

and ever, gradually plugging up your computer (just like hair

slowly clogs a sink drain) until you get rid of them, or ';clear

your cache'; including ';cookies'; and ';history';.

send me a message -- ideally with your YouTube or regular

    email address. I will guide you step-by-step through ';cache';

clearing and my 'tips' in plain English with full explanations.

Note 1: if you have Google Web Accelerator (or something

    similar to it), dump it, burn it, trash it, disable it, uninstall it;

-- do all that you can to get as far away from it as possible,

even though this contradicts all my advice. Not only does it

conflict with YouTube, simply clicking on ';Don't Accelerate

This Website'; will not help you whatsoever.

    Note 2: longer videos only require ';Flash'; and ';Shockwave';

in order to play smooth. Other than that, avoid all the sales

pitches that some Yahooers are shilling, because they are

    really disguised salespeople and peddlers. Their ';answers';

have nothing to do with your question, and their wares may

actually worsen your problem. Besides, what kind of stupid

answer is:....[my paraphrase] ';Although you can't watch or

    access videos properly, get this downloader.';

Note 3: an unusual fix that once worked for me was altering

the URL ';www . youtube . com'; to simply ';youtube . com';,

(or you can even try ';ca . youtube . com';).

Please can you advise me how to stop video clips buffering on youtube?
you can pause it.. then wait for it to fully buffer, then click play..

    or

this will help you... Use 'zillatube'

It is very easy to download and convert to mpg/mp3/etc format that is compatible for your windows media player, for you to watch those videos comfortably. (you can also create an automated playlist that you can watch or listen to.)

It is the easiest way (and also the fastest).

It works very well - http://www.zillatube.com

Buy yourself a quality video card with at least 1GB of memory on it. Your computer power has everything to do with it, plus your internet bandwidth. You can also post you question at the new http://www.desktopsupport.tv/community/

You can't as youtube uses buffering technique. You can download ';speedBit video accelerator'; to make it faster (http://www.videoaccelerator.com/download鈥?/a>

Let them roll whilst you do something else and watch it when fully loaded. It works for me. Might depend on the computer too. My laptop is chronic for it but the PC has 5x the memory and it rarely ever happens.
You have to let it buffer, that's it loading!! If you don't want it to buffer while you are watching it, instead of playing it straight away, leave it about 2 minutes to let it finish buffering.
    Simple.

As soon as it starts, pause it.

Then let the loading bar continue across for a while.

Then continue, and it shouldn't catch it up.
    Buffering = Loading
you cant stop it, it has to buffer to allow you to watch it
your internet connection must be fast!

What would you advise regarding my cramming problem?

I have chapters and chapters to read for my 7 exams this week but I keep finding ways of distracting myself. I think this originated with poor study habits in college, rewarded by consistently high grades... But I'm a graduate student now and cramming can't cut it... I really need help. Look, I can't even stop doing Yahoo Answers... What can you say besides telling me to ';JUST STOP';?What would you advise regarding my cramming problem?
    You're wrong.

You don't have a problem, it's just that your disorganized.

What I think you should do is set a goal for each day and study day by day of what to cover.

    Remember, the saying goes, ';Work Smart, Not Hard.';

You don't need to know ALL the material, but the material that you feel will be definitely tested.

Edit: I like KDgirl's answer - that's really good too! What would you advise regarding my cramming problem?
Turn off your computer, if you have a laptop unplug it then go put it in your car where it is out of reach. Take the batteries out of your TV remote and put them some place else. I have finals next week as well and plan on doing these same things. Good Luck on your tests!!!!!!!

Next semester to prevent this problem: After you get out of every class go home that day/night and read over what was lectured on for about an hour. Do this with every class and you will be MORE than prepared for your test all througout the semester.
Take yourself away from things that can distract you. I learnt at uni that i simply had to accept that i studied alot harder at the library because working at home surrounded me with things to distract myself with.

Also, in the modern world, our minds have become used to quickly swapping between sources of distraction and to always being stimulated. Try and calm your brain down a bit before you study. Spend 5 minutes or so breathing and trying to clear your mind in a quiet, stare at your hands (or something uninteresting) as you do this and let your eyes defocus, concerntrate on your breathing. A good trick i was taught on a school field trip to a buddist monastry (lol) was to try and count to 20 breaths without thinking another thought. If you think of anything but the count and the breathe start again at 0.

After 5 minutes get to work and you should find (assuming you are in a place without distractions) you can concentrate much better.
disconnect your computer from the internet, and lock yourself in a place far away from others....it usually works for me buddy
Funny because I have the same problem until now and I was also a psych major in college.

I can't help it... my mind works better when I'm cramming :-) (excuses! excuses!). I once wrote a term paper in 24 hrs (as in I didn't sleep at all) to meet a deadline that was set at the beginning of the semester, and got quite a good grade for it.

I know it's a bad habit though so I keep trying and trying to get rid of it by psyching myself up to do a certain task as early as possible. It just takes some willpower to actually start something and once I've started, I just keep at it till I'm done. I guess it helps when you have a cranky boss breathing down your neck. :-)

Of course, I'm not always successful at it like this morning when I'm yapping away answering your question on procrastination rather than finishing an overdue report :-). Oh well...
There are no short cuts buddy cramming doesnt really work all the time.

What you need to do is understand your mind and its capacity to remember. You also need to understand how long you can study and stay focussed beofre your mind becomes tired and starts to wonder. Once you figure this out then you can plan your study around it.

I have a short attention span. I can study for about 30min concentrating and then carry on for 15 more pushing myself. I have low memory retention and cramming works but it doesnt always work especially when i have huge amounts of work and a short time to do it in.

The best study method that works for me is to read a chapter thouroughly the first time,,,slowly so that you understand the concepts. Afterwards Read it again the next day or day after this time marking or highlighting important words and paragrpahs. Then read it a third time just skimming through it . You will find that the stuff you read then goes to your long term memory instead of your short term where your likely to forget it. It also does wonders for your psychologically cos when you enter the exam you know that you read your notes and understand them.

Get rid of your distractions,,,,,,,and make it difficult for you to enage in those distractions. I make it a point to study in my local starbucks and other coffee shops because there is no TV,No internet and im less likely to be distarcted by friends and family.

People say studying i a quest place is good but i say thats hogwash. I cant study in a silent place i need noise lots of ambient noise and i find that the chatter of people in my restaurant helps me to focus.

    As of right now priorities.

    1) switch your cell phone off

    2) Unplug the TV/Playstation/Xbox

    3) Start studying for your earliest exams. Read the text book(dont take notes just read each chapter untill you understand whats being talked about).

Aim to get half the the work done today and the other chapters done on saturday. Then sunday you can start revision another read over.

Its tedious boring work but if you want to graduate your going to have to bite the bullet and pull off some serious hours,,,,,ITS TEMPORARY thats all you should understand.

Another thing for every hour you study take a 10 to 15 min break. Have a cup of coffee walk around outside just do it.

    GOOD LUCK

Oh by the way Coffee,,,,lots and lots of coffee and Snickers bars these things worked for me.

PS never leave things till the last min. Read and Revise and Read and gove your mind ample time to absorb the material.
Hey, It's your life, It is what you make it.. I have a teenager and I got tired of her procrastinating and cramming. So I told her she was old enough that I was ';babysitting'; her anymore. And she asked me to help her set up a schedule for time management and it helps for the most part. It is like exercise. If the doctor gives you a pill and tells you to take it at a certain time everyday because your life depends on it, you are going to take that pill. So I scheduled exercise like a doctor's appt or time to take my medicine. Good Luck..
wake up in the morning and drag yourself to the library dude... its the only way to get work done... bring a lunch, snacks, and caffeine. stay there all day dude. do the same day after day... you know better... try to get some aderol from some friends... that s*** helps big time. try to avoid bringin your laptop and stay off the internet.... bring an ipod and listen to classical music only... studyin to rock, trance, or hip hop never works. no aim, no yahoo answers... come on dude, you can do it...

  • Has anyone got advise on what are the best cloth nappies to use?

Have'nt a breeze about these, if anyone has any advise. I'd like an All in One type with some funky designs %26amp; are not too bulky.Has anyone got advise on what are the best cloth nappies to use?
I use many different kinds, and have a few Mommy's Touch one-size AIO. I prefer it over my BumGenius ones since they offer snaps, and the BGs only have the touchtape (wears out FAST!).

Here's a link (they have lots of colors and prints!):

I also like my Swaddlebees diapers. Here's an AIO (not one-size though) link:

Personally, I'm a fan of unbleached cotton prefolds. I fasten them with a snappi during the day, and use bummi's diaper covers at night.

I recently learned to knit, so my ';goal'; is to start making wool soaker pants and shorts for my son. Wool is FABULOUS as a diaper cover, I just cannot afford to buy them.

I would honestly not recommend ';All in ones.'; I have heard of many people having issues with getting them clean. They are very hard to dry and tend have build up issues.

Lots of people swear by Bum Geniuses, but I personally don't like them. They ARE easy to clean and will fit for a long time, but they are also expensive and the synthetic materials inside give my son serious diaper rash.

You might consider trying some different types of diapers before buying a bunch of one kind.
Bum Genius 3.0 pocket diapers are my favourite ... and I have a huge cloth diaper stash.

How do you approach to a question on ';Argue, persuade, advise'; on the GCSE english exam?

I would also like to know how to answer on a question to write as a leaflet, letter, speech.

(I know I have asked another question related on the same topic, i just forgot to add on these bits, sorry.)How do you approach to a question on ';Argue, persuade, advise'; on the GCSE english exam?
Advise is the most difficult choice go for either argue or persuade, the aqa GCSE website has the mark sheme which explains how to get marks on all stems of the english exam

reading REALLY helps boost grades and understanding of english. How do you approach to a question on ';Argue, persuade, advise'; on the GCSE english exam?
There is some really good information on these sites site.http://www.englishbiz.co.uk/ %26amp; http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/english/writingnonfict/

We have some audio on this subject on the way but the GCSE teacher who writes it recommends using SPARL FC to help you approach it.

S-structure Have a clear strong opening and summary, with a middle which backs up what you have said.

P-Purpose Think about what you are trying to achieve through the task. Change a teacher's mind? Advise a child? Persuade a parent?

A-Audience-Think about who the audience for your task is. For example, if it's teenagers your own age, you might be less formal that if you were asked to write a letter to the school board.

R-Register/tone-Again think about your tone/register. It will be affected by who you are writing for and what about. A leaflet about a fun run will have a very different tone to a speech about stopping smoking, for example.

L-Language - Check that your language is appropriate for what you are being asked to do. You wouldn't use text speak in a letter to a teacher and you wouldn't say ';Dear Miss Smith, It was a great honour to have the pleasure of your company yesterday evening'; in a letter to your best friend.

FC - Form and content - Study letters, leaflets etc to see how they are laid out and their formats.

    A few more tips

    Advise - sound like an expert. Use language like ';you should';, ';you could';, ';why don't you';

Persuade - Use statistics, facts and emotional language to persuade someone of your point of view.

    Good luck!

    www.gcsepod.co.uk
Argue: Get your point across by being more aggressive in approach

Persuade: Your idea is better than theirs, you must make them listen

Advise: You give a validated opinion.

Leaflet: A short account on whats on offer

Letter: More personalised approach, and more factual

Speech: A quicker response, to the effect of the listener being there.

What will you advise someone who plays piano but can't perform in front of people as she afraid of criticism?

Sounds like a confidence and self esteem issue. I'll bet this issue probably goes beyond just playing music. Positive reinforcement will help, but gaining confidence is a long process. What will you advise someone who plays piano but can't perform in front of people as she afraid of criticism?
Well, i dont play the piano, but i did a dance compition last week in front of thousands, and i was nerves as. i guess all you can do is practise till your happy with it, and try practising in front of people, that helps too. If it makes you feel better, imagen that nobodys watching you, and picture something calming in your mind. Also, if your on a dark stage, you normally cant see the crowd, that makes it a lot less scarier!

Let your fingers dance on the keys :)

Dolly xWhat will you advise someone who plays piano but can't perform in front of people as she afraid of criticism?
to just enjoy it and forget everyone else is even watching. Once i went to a performance with the frame of mind that i wanted to enjoy it and just forget what anyone else thought and - i was really good.|Even if you do make a mistake most of the ausience dont even know you have done it and couldnt even tell.If you enjoy the performance than thats all that matters people wont critisise you for playing a wrong note half the time people haven even noticed.

    hope this helps

    ..madovermusic...
I play piano, and I cannot play in front of an audience. I get physically sick, now assuming your friend does not get physically sick, I would say that she needs to play for people she is comfortable with at first, and then work her way up. She also may be dealing with external confidence issues outside of piano that may be making her feel self conscious while performing.
sounds like a confidence issue. practise until you are happy with your playing and you will want to let others hear you play. you didn't say what age we are talking about -- a young player has time to develop, gain that important confidence and enjoy the experience. an older player needs practise, or maybe even some counselling.

Christians, How would advise this young lady in how to seek the Lord?

She is despondent and can not find God. In fact is thinking about suicide. Can you send her the right answers from the bible. Quick like.Christians, How would advise this young lady in how to seek the Lord?
If she is going through a lot,

    she should think about this: it gets me through everything, '; God will not take you to, anything he can't take you through.';

God is always here and you just have to realize everything happens for a reason and he won't take you to a point you can not get through. He is always here.Christians, How would advise this young lady in how to seek the Lord?
    Matt 11:25b-30:

thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto Me of my Father:and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father;neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him. Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Hope this helps...If you're looking for God, run to the cross and lay your burdens there.
It's more likely that she would get better results from being proactive in her recovery-changes in lifestyle (diet, exercise, drugs/alcohol use), seeing a therapist, and taking anti-depressants. Sending her Bible quotes isn't going to help.
First, if she is thinking about suicide, I say, ';in the name of Jesus Christ I command that is not an option for her.'; Then, for you to give to her, the book of John, chapter one. But that's not going to make sense to her if she does not yet know God. So, the real answer is for her to talk to the Almighty herself. Tell her to cry out to Him. And He will answer. Because it is a Living God that can and will and loves to save.
“And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven”- Luke 1:76-78

Pray for her and maybe she'll turn her life around and help other girls go through what she went through. i'll pray as well :) God Bless
Do not let her commit suicide and if you're her friend be there and get her help! It has sadly happened before where friends weren't there and sadly the despondent person did commit suicide.

    Psalms 4:1-8 (King James Version)

1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
I agree that a suicide hotline is the first step. But, getting a Life Application Bible and seeking out comfort verses would be great. I'm a Christian and seem to forget that when I am sad or angry, I need only go through the Bible (sometimes just randomly), and I instantly feel better--it's really an amazing feeling. God bless, and I hope you can help your friend (or yourself?) feel better and learn that Jesus is ready and willing to comfort you.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me(Jesus) ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I (Jesus) have overcome the world. John 16:33

Through Jesus, she can overcome to. What has this young lady so despondent? Is there anything too hard for God to fix? The answer is no, nothing is impossible with God.
Unconventional as I am I'd probably take a very different route. ie

Ok so you want to kill yourself...fine with me but first come with me.

We walk over to the stove, I turn on the large burner to the highest temperature and grab her hand forcing her to put her hand on it...she resists. My next statement will either wake her up or she is totally crazy...

If you want to commit suicide then go for it, but I want you to know that what you just fought so violently against me about is EXACTLY what you will face from the second you take your last breath...still want to do it? or are you ready for God's help?

    My scriptural basis?

Jude 1:21-23 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

22: And of some have compassion, making a difference:

23: And others SAVE WITH FEAR, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Well first of all DONT DO SUICIDE!!!! thats crazy! things might be going bad now but that doesn't mean they wont change. Winners never quit and quitters never win. Just pick up a Bible and read god will get you to the right page (TRUST ME)
How about calling a suicide hotline? Seriously, that would be able to help.
    1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your cares upon Him, for he careth for you.
With the help of other Christians that have experience with these kind of things. Find a local help line.
What Congress wants, Congress gets. It's sad. Say a prayer for your friend and so will I.

What is the advise that you wants tell to you hair stylist or the salon owner ?

there is something that you are shy to say them ?

example : that clean more frequently

    change their brush

change their old dryer, their business cards

    magazzines etc...ok ...

this is your opportunity to say it come on .....What is the advise that you wants tell to you hair stylist or the salon owner ?
I'm sorry but my hair stylist know his job very well. He is a great person. You have a nice day.!What is the advise that you wants tell to you hair stylist or the salon owner ?
I would tell them to keep their gossiping to themselves. I don't want to hear about other patrons husbands, boyfriends, kids, problems, etc. I have changed salons because of this. Seriously !
This is funny for me to see... I'm a hairstylist and Ive thought of this to...this is why I keep plenty of brushes handy, all different types...and blow dryers I have about 3 different ones, as for business cards those get pricey but I have two different types. And magazines I pick up new ones all the time no sence in leaving old beat up ones on the table or in the racks makes it look tacky...and as for the one saying they dont like when the stylist sings in your ear....TELL THEM! lol. Your paying for a service .... not for them to sing in your ear. And a good stylist knows when not to chat up to much...they need to remember that they are working on satisfying a client not their singing skills...and a clean work station that's something they can get fined for if they dont take care of it ... they wouldn't want to eat off the floor of a restaurant so why should you guys have to sit in there mess. I'm sorry I just have a problem with lazy stylist I dont mean to be rude but it is your right to let them know how you feel. YOU ARE PAYING THEM.
Honestly, I don't like them talking my ear off about stuff taht has nothing to do with my hair. Unless I know them really well, I don't like small chat. I'd rather just sit back, relax %26amp; enjoy getting my hair done.
don't talk too much. i go to the salon to have my hair done, not listen to gossips.
I wish I could tell them not to sing to the music that is playing while they are a few inches away from my ear.
my hair salon keeps all cutting implements in a detergent jar with detergent so I know its clean

love the massgae they give when they wash the hair

hairstylists dont know what youwant until you show them a picture so i download loads and then we discuss what would suit me

Still running in Japan right now and being fansubbed, Aoi Hana (Blue Flowers) is really good! I don't usually like hardcore Yuri, but this has such great characters.

Maria-sama ga Miteru has several season and a total of 44 episodes (including OVA). Although the series is based on a novel series, there is a manga which is very nice.

An older series similar to Maria but more angsty is Onii-sama e... (aka Brother, Dear Brother). Its also about a high class all girls school. Er, I guess most Yuri stories are.

A not really Yuri manga/anime, with a Yuri heroine is Maria Holic. This one is a comedy rather than a drama.

Another series running right now is Kanamemo. In this one, all the characters are girls so there is shoujo-ainess, plus there is a blatantly yuri couple. This is also a comedy.

You can use the site all my links are from to list anime by category and search for shoujo-ai titles (although even if the story only has a yuri side character it will probably come up) (don't forget to disable synonyms). But I've listed a few that I think are good ^_^
YES YES YES ';Maka Maka'; is INCREDIBLE. You can find all of it at mangafox. It's, in my opinion, the best yuri manga, because it's all in color and the art is beautiful.

Any advise as to where I can apply for a small business loan in the state of California?

Trying to start up a small business in the state of California. I know it is a '.gov' site, but am not quite sure where to go. Your help is much appreciated.Any advise as to where I can apply for a small business loan in the state of California?
The most common type of lender is the commercial bank, credit union, savings and loan companies, or investment companies. These lenders offer business loans, however, often times these loans must be secured. This could mean offering up your personal assets as collateral. Although, the business is yours to do with what you want, these loans are very risky to any un-established business. And that鈥檚 assuming you qualify. Unsecured loans, usually less than $100,000, are available to business owners based upon his or her personal credit history.

    http://best-loans.awardspace.com/businessloans.htm

Commercial banks may also request that a business have a co-signer or guarantor. This may mean finding a financial partner or checking into the various types of small business loans available through the federal government. Women and minorities have an even wider selection of entities willing to loan them business capital. Organizations such as the Women鈥檚 Business Ownership, Women Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century, and several others cater to lending money to women that wish to start-up a business, still others actually guarantee them business loans.

What 3 languages would you advise learning?

I'm 14 and am musically gifted and Spanish comes INCREDIBLY easy to me. I learned that the language center in your brain is also musical, they correlate. So I figured that me setting out to learn any three (incredibly different, dont' like say spanish french and latin).

So, I want to set a goal. I'm 14, what languages would be good to know 10-20 years from now. I'm still not sure where I want to live. What 3 languages would you advise learning?
Latin- Makes it soooooo much easier to learn other languages; most words are derivations from latin words

Spanish- Almost half of the American population is Hispanic

Mandarin/Chinese- Almost all industries and businesses are in China. It'll help you in the future with your job, depending on what you do.

Hope this helps!!What 3 languages would you advise learning?
My friend, firstly I would like to commend you for taking such an interest in learning new languages. Nothing feels more rewarding, than being able to communicate with other cultures, in their own language!

Personally, I speak fluent Japanese and Korean. I really enjoy speaking Asian languages, because it really allows you to bond with Asian people (which I have to, as it is my job), because not many westerners can speak them. It can open up new career prospects, introduce you to new passions and hobbies, and really open up the whole world when you go traveling.

To decide which languages you wish to learn, you should think about what you enjoy doing. My initial journey in learning languages began when I started doing Tae Kwon Do (which is why I learnt Korean). Failing that, you could always focus on the most spoken languages, which will allow you to communicate with the most people:

    Mandarin

    Spanish

    Hindi.

My own personal three, however, would be:

Japanese (I love to travel around Japan)

Mandarin (Again, I travel alot in China)

Spanish (Go on a South America tour!)

Hope this gives you some ideas my friend.
When I was 14 I told myself that I would get a basic grounding in as many languages as possible, and I did French and Spanish for GCSE and would like to improve them further. But, I've started learning German and Russian at the moment, and I would say that German (contrary to what other people think) is a good language to learn (see http://www.vistawide.com/german/why_germ… %26amp; http://www.goethe.de/Ins/ca/lp/prj/wlg/e…

I would say that Spanish is good considering that it's one of the most prolific languages in the world, however if you want them to be different then learning Spanish with either Italian or French is ruled out. I would say then either Russian or Arabic (the next language I want to tackle). Also, take a dive into Esperanto perhaps (even though not a native language and a constructed one) it's still a good tool to encourage language learning and how to understand language.

So yer, my choices would be:

    1) Spanish

    2) German

    3) Arabic

    4) Russian
I know a little spanish, fluent in english, learning arabic at present

I agree with what my friend said about learning arabic, it is so much fun, really , i'm taking online classes in this website: http://www.arabicollege.com ,

they offered for you 3 days free trial try their best way to learn, they have 24 hours a day live online classes with live video classes, you can be able to see your teacher and talk with the other students,

I'm really enjoying my time and learning at the same time, hope you will like my advice.
I am studying arabic and it is soo much fun to learn, and the written language is so different and beautiful. Spanish is most useful here in the united states, so definitly keep up with that. If you are looking for three more languages, I'd say go for Arabic, French, and Greek, maybe German. Good luck :)
well i was going to say Spanish and French for sure since a lot of languages are based off of them. English obviously. If youd like a challenge why not try some native american languages that are being lost? The thing is Latin and French will get you far in most countries b/c many are similar to the style
    there is:

Arabic Bulgarian Chinese Croatian Czech Danish

Dutch Finnish French German Greek Hindi

Italian Japanese Korean Norwegian Polish Portuguese

    Romanian Russian Spanish Swedish (:
Why not Gaelic, something completely different.
Spanish(but you already learned that), German, and Klamath. : )
    Chinese,Japanese,German
Arabic, Turkish, and Hindi...those are 3 entirely different languages.
    English, Chinese, Tamil.
    Mandarin Chinese, French, and Hebrew
Mandarin--as the Chinese population continues to grow.

    Gaelic--very difficult language

    and Italian
I'll give you 5: Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and sign. You choose from there.
    French, Arabic and Chinese!
