I am considering the purchase of a 16 foot Scamp. Our van is a V8. Hope somebody with experience pulling this little camper can help me.
I would be interested in all comments about this type of camper. Thanks a bunchDoes anybody own a Scamp travel trailer who can advise me about the affect on gas mileage?
Pulling ANY trailer will kill your MPG, as you have to lock out overdrive while towing. If it's a big deal, forget pulling a trailer.
My Toyota Tundra gets 21MPG on the freeway normally, and about 12-13 (with a tail wind) when towing my trailer.
