What advise would jesus give to someone going to war?

How does a christian make peace with god for what might be his final days on this earth?What advise would jesus give to someone going to war?
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.





1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve like other people who have no hope.For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so through Jesus God will bring those who have died with him.

Mat 5:44 ... I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Jesus commanded his followers to love one another...how can you love someone and yet go fight in a war.You can not be a peaceful person and go to war.


Matt. 26:52: “Jesus said to him: ‘Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword.’” (Could there have been any higher cause for which to fight than to safeguard the Son of God? Yet, Jesus here indicated that those disciples were not to resort to weapons of physical warfare.)


Luke 6:27, 28: “I [Jesus Christ] say to you who are listening, Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you, to bless those cursing you, to pray for those who are insulting you.”
The Lord told Joshua to be strong and very courageous when he had to face his enemies at Jericho at his first command post. He repeated this something like 7 times!





But remember also, when Joshua asked Him whose side He was on, the Lord said ';No, but I am the commander of the host of the Lord.';





In other words, God doesn't take sides - He asks US to take sides with HIM.





Also, Psalms 91 - ';A thousand may fall to your right, and 10 thousand at your right hand, but it will NOT come near you. Only with your eyes shall you see the rewards of the wicked.'; (That is assuming that we are ';dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, and resting in the shadow of the Almighty.';)
To my knowledge Jesus Christ never said, ';love thy neighbor...unless your country is at war. Then it's okay to kill.'; I'm ALL FOR VETS and anyone who fights for their country....just not for the bible.

To love your enemy and do good to him who dispitefully uses you, to turn the other cheek, do unto others as ye would that they should do unto you, and do not hide your light under a bushel.
Go get killed or return to doing the law and loving the real God.





Jesus wished the fire was cast on the earth. He said he came to burn up the chaff, so Jesus really wanted sinners to be ';burnt up';.
Don't go, you're nothing but a worthless tool to those in power who create the wars and make trillions and trillions of dollars to line their own pockets with.
He might well advise turning the other cheek, which probably isn't much help against an incoming RPG.
Whatever you find to do, do with all your might, do all in the name of the Lord.
Presumably he'd be smart enough -- unlike some of his followers -- to give ';advice'; rather than to give ';advise';....
If I understand christianity correctly, he would tell you ';Turn the other cheek. Oh and say hi to my dad for me, you'll be seeing him soon';
Jesus would probably tell them not to go to war because God doesn't want anyone to fight.
